NFAPA PROCLAMATION SIGNING/OPEN HOUSE
Resource Parents (Foster Parents), open their hearts and homes to children and offer nurturing for children who, for many different reasons cannot safely live with their birth families. Resource Families love and support children who do not belong to them and are there to help children and birth familes when the children are able to return home.
May is National Foster Care Month. In order to recognize Resource Parents, Governor Heinman will be signing a Proclamation, on May 16, 2012 at 10:30 at the Sate Capitol in the Warner Chamber, located on the second floor across the Rotunda from the Norris Legislative Chamber. We would like to invite all who can attend to be there for this event! NFAPA will also be hosting an Open House at the NFAPA office immediately following the ceremony unto 2:30 p.m. Our address is 2431 Fairfield Street, Suite C, Lincoln, NE. We will be having our annual POTLUCK Picnics coming up! NFAPA will provide the meat, drinks, cups, plates, napkins and silverware. Please bring your appetite and a covered dish to share.
